Weight loss brand

Top 3 for "buy mounjaro"

12,000 searches a month in the UK, keyword difficulty 44, $8.00 CPC. The sibling term "buy mounjaro online" adds another 10,000. Roughly 22,000 monthly searches of pure transactional intent, in the most contested weight loss category there is.

Research-use-only peptide brand

$550k from organic search in 2.5 months

A research-use-only peptide brand, in a category where paid acquisition is effectively closed and every competitor is fighting for the same handful of informational queries.

DTC brand

Return on SEO investment, measured against payment processor data rather than GA4 attribution.

Telehealth SEO is the practice of building organic and AI search visibility for virtual care brands. It combines YMYL-compliant content under clinical review, technical architecture, digital PR and link acquisition. Unlike general ecommerce SEO, it must satisfy the higher evidence standards search engines apply to health content.

Full SEO and AI search, built for a YMYL industry

Telehealth is YMYL: Your Money or Your Life. Search engines hold this content to a higher bar because it affects someone's health. That single fact changes everything about how the work is done.

An agency that ranks supplement stacks and fashion collections will apply the same playbook to your compounded semaglutide pages and wonder why nothing moves. The content passes a copywriter and never a clinician. The site says a drug treats a condition it is not indicated for. The link profile is built from the same guest post farms everyone else uses.

In a category Google evaluates against medical evidence standards, that approach does not underperform. It fails.

Four layers, built in this order

01

AI Search (GEO/AEO)

More of your future customers are searching for brands directly inside ChatGPT, Copilot and Perplexity. If you are not showing up there, you are falling behind quietly.

AI search is a layer built on top of SEO, not a replacement for it. A lot of agencies have this backwards and are selling GEO as a standalone product. It is not. The brands getting cited in AI answers are, almost without exception, the brands that already earned authority in organic search.

Here is the honest version, and it is a number most agencies will not show you. One of our clients does over $100M in revenue. They earn roughly $32M a year from organic search. From AI search, despite being heavily cited across assistants, they earn about $19,000. AI search is not yet driving meaningful revenue for anyone. That is precisely why the window to own it is open right now, and why it closes the moment it starts to.

02

Doctor-reviewed content

We source a licensed MD to review your content, confirm it is compliant, and satisfy E-E-A-T. Our expert writers craft content that reads well and is fully optimized. The physician signs off on medical accuracy before it ever goes live.

This is not a byline you buy. It is a review step that catches the claim your marketing team did not know was off-label, the mechanism described backwards, the statistic with no source behind it. In a category where a single unsupported claim can cost you a page, a ranking, or a regulator's attention, it is the cheapest insurance you will buy.

Minoxidil vs. finasteride: what actually works?

03

Digital PR and authority

We connect your business to a credentialed expert and run PR campaigns that put them in front of major online publications, commenting on relevant medical topics.

That expert becomes associated with your brand, and their credibility becomes yours. We have landed placements in Forbes, TIME, Men's Health, Cosmopolitan, Inc, mindbodygreen and Martha Stewart, among others.

In YMYL categories this is not vanity coverage. It is the strongest available signal that a real, qualified human stands behind what your site says.

Link building

We earn links through listicle placements in a niche where links are genuinely expensive and hard to get. It is one of the toughest parts of telehealth SEO, which is exactly why it is one of the biggest ranking levers, and where most competitors fall short.

Health publishers are more selective, the editorial bar is higher, and the going rate reflects it. Every agency that tells you links do not matter anymore is telling you they cannot get them.

The same pattern in every telehealth category

Across every vertical we work in, the keyword with the biggest volume is the one you cannot have, and the opportunity sits one step to the side of it. This is what category-specific research actually produces.

CategoryThe term everyone wantsThe term that is winnable
Hair lossminoxidil, 492,000/mo, KD 71oral minoxidil, 41,000/mo, KD 42
TRTtestosterone replacement therapy, 34,000/mo, KD 70low testosterone treatment, 3,100/mo, KD 19
Dermatologytretinoin, 255,000/mo, KD 68online dermatologist, 6,300/mo, KD 44
Supplementscreatine, 744,000/mo, KD 75greens powder, 9,900/mo, KD 14
Virtual careonline doctor, 17,000/mo, KD 78virtual primary care, 1,300/mo, KD 21

Every row is the same trade. Give up the volume you were never going to win, take the term half as competitive where the searcher is further along and closer to buying.

The extreme case sits in infusion. "nad iv therapy" carries 14,000 monthly searches at a keyword difficulty of 10, on the highest-margin protocol most infusion brands sell. Windows like that open when demand arrives faster than anyone builds content, and they close quietly. Finding them is most of the job.

One more, because it is the clearest argument for doing research before writing anything. "low libido in women" does 4,200 searches a month. "female libido treatment", the phrase a brand would naturally put on its product page, does 20. Two hundred to one, between how people describe their experience and how the industry describes its product.

Telehealth vs telemedicine: does the distinction matter for search?

Formally, yes. Telemedicine means remote clinical care specifically: diagnosis and treatment delivered by a clinician at a distance. Telehealth is the umbrella term and includes telemedicine plus remote monitoring, patient education, clinician training and administrative services. HHS and the AAFP still maintain that separation.

Commercially, the terms have collapsed into synonyms since roughly 2020, and telehealth has won as the dominant one. In search data the gap is small enough to be academic: "telehealth marketing" runs about 150 searches a month against 90 for "telemedicine marketing".

One practical note if you are building your own site architecture. "seo for telehealth" and "seo for telemedicine" both return zero search volume. The phrasings people actually use are "telehealth seo" and "telehealth marketing". We see brands build entire page structures around the phrasing they assume buyers use rather than the phrasing the data shows they use.

Deep playbooks for every corner of telehealth

Each category has its own search demand, its own compliance nuance, and its own competitive landscape. GLP-1 lives or dies on the compounded versus branded question and the 503A and 503B distinction. Hair loss is a fight over minoxidil and finasteride terms against publishers with a decade of authority. Peptides is a category where paid acquisition is effectively closed, which makes organic the only door.

We have built dedicated strategies for each.

Here is what happens if nothing changes

  • 01

    Ad accounts vanish overnight

In regulated health categories this is not a hypothetical. When it happens, every dollar of acquisition history disappears with the account.

  • 02

    Your blended CAC keeps climbing

Paid ads drive only 27% of website traffic while organic search drives 53%. Meanwhile 25.8% of internet users run ad blockers and 11% of ad clicks are fraudulent or invalid. You are paying more each quarter to reach a shrinking share of the market.

  • 03

    Competitors out-rank you everywhere

On Google. Inside ChatGPT. Inside Perplexity. Capturing the exact customers who were ready to buy from you, at the moment they were ready.

  • 04

Paid rents attention, it never becomes an asset

None of it compounds. None of it can be sold. Every month you stop spending, it stops working.

None of that has to happen

Tell us where you are and we will show you exactly what the category leader is doing that you are not.

Step 1 of 5

Why organic and AI search compound

Efficiency

Organic and AI search demand compounds alongside paid, trending blended CAC down each quarter.

Resilience

When an ad account pauses or CPMs spike, your organic pipeline keeps delivering.

Enterprise value

Every ranking and AI citation you earn adds enterprise value that transfers at exit. Our founders have realised this seventeen times.

When I am asked if I know of anyone in the SEO space, without hesitation I point them to DTC SEO. They truly understand the power of authority content, onsite metrics, and strategic backlinking and has the network to put it into play.
Amanda Raab, Mergers & Acquisitions, Quiet Light Brokerage

Authority

Buyers arrive already trusting you, because they found you rather than being interrupted by you.

Built by a team who have sat where you are sitting

We run our own telehealth brand. We know the blended CAC pressure, the multi-state licensure headache, the pharmacy sourcing, and the compliance tightrope, because we have walked it ourselves rather than consulted on it from the outside.

When we tell you a landing page will not survive a compliance review, it is because ours did not. When we tell you which parts of a funnel actually move CAC, it is because we moved our own.

Scope is set by how competitive your category is and how much ground there is to make up. A brand entering hair loss against publishers with ten years of authority needs a different investment than a brand defending an existing position in a newer niche.

What telehealth founders ask us before booking a call.

How long until I see revenue from SEO?

If you are starting completely fresh, expect the first few months to build the foundation. If you are an established brand, we can drive results within the first few weeks. We start by mapping the exact gap between you and your category leaders, then build the strategy around closing it fastest.

What does it cost?

Fully managed engagements start at $7,995 per month. The exact figure depends on category competitiveness and how much ground there is to make up. We give you the number on the first call alongside the strategy, not in a proposal three weeks later.

Why is SEO worth it when I am already running paid?

Paid rents attention and organic builds an asset. Paid drives 27% of web traffic against organic's 53%, and every month you stop spending on ads, the traffic stops. Organic compounds, survives ad account suspensions, and transfers to a buyer at exit.

How do you handle E-E-A-T and YMYL compliance?

Every piece of content is written by expert writers, then reviewed and signed off by a licensed physician for clinical accuracy before publication. We also build author credibility through digital PR, so the expert behind your content has verifiable standing outside your own website.

Do you work with brands under $10M in revenue?

No. The work we do, clinically reviewed content at volume plus digital PR and link acquisition in an expensive niche, only pays back at eight and nine figure scale. Below that we would be spending your money on a channel that cannot return it fast enough.

Is my AI-generated content a risk?

In YMYL categories, yes. Google's recent core updates have penalised undifferentiated AI-generated content, and health content faces the strictest evaluation of any category. When every competitor uses the same model to write, everyone sounds the same and nobody demonstrates expertise.

How do you track and report results?

Through a custom SEO and AI search KPI dashboard we spent four and a half months building with Triple Whale, because GA4 cannot attribute ecommerce revenue accurately. We measure organic revenue and ROSI against payment processor data, not sessions.

Do you work with brands outside the US?

Yes. Our client work spans the US, UK, Canada and EU. The "buy mounjaro" result referenced on this page is a UK campaign.

Ready to stop losing patients to better-ranked competitors?

One call. We map your category, your compliance requirements and the fastest path to a lower blended CAC, then hand you the strategy with pricing attached.
