COMPETITOR TEARDOWN

Noom ranks first on the money terms and takes nothing from them

Four number one positions on GLP-1 pricing demand, and zero attributed traffic across all of them. The clearest lesson in this series about what a ranking is worth.

Methodology: Ahrefs Site Explorer, noom.com including subdomains. Ahrefs, organic keywords and site metrics, subdomains mode. United States. 1 August 2026. Figures are the Ahrefs export on that date and are not adjusted. CPC values are converted from the API's cents to dollars.

Step 1 of 5

What is your website?

Your domain is enough.

Noom draws 241,613 monthly organic visits in the US from 21,613 keywords, with 10,832 in the top three positions. On the GLP-1 pricing cluster they hold first place on "semaglutide cost" at 33,000 searches a month, "glp 1 medications", "how much do glp1s cost" and "tirzepatide for sale", and Ahrefs attributes zero traffic to every one of them.

01

A large estate built for a different category

Noom's search position was built for behavioural weight loss, the category that existed before GLP-1s arrived. 21,613 keywords with half of them in the top three is a serious estate.\n\nThe question is what that estate is now worth, because the demand moved.

$419,285 of monthly traffic value from 241,613 visits is about $1.74 a visit. Keeps, on 4,103 keywords, gets $5.07. The difference is what happens when an estate is built for a category whose commercial centre has shifted.

Four first positions, no clicks

Non-branded keywords with commercial or transactional intent and a CPC above $2.50. Read the last two columns together.

First position on "semaglutide cost" at 33,000 searches a month, and zero attributed traffic. First on "tirzepatide for sale" at an $8.44 CPC, zero. First on "glp 1 medications" at $6.97, zero.\n\nPricing queries are the most feature-heavy SERPs in health. The answer is a number, so Google shows the number, and the click never happens. Hers holds position seven on that same "semaglutide cost" term and takes 1,967 visits from it, which tells you the traffic is going to results that appear where the features are not.\n\n"cheapest tirzepatide online" is the row worth flagging separately: difficulty 5, a $14.27 CPC, and Noom is at position 16. That is the highest CPC in this entire teardown series sitting on a term almost nobody is contesting.

03

Where the flank is open

The lesson here is not that Noom is weak. It is that position is not the same as traffic, and picking the wrong query shape wastes a first place.\n\nThe opening is the transactional layer next to the pricing layer. "cheapest tirzepatide online" at difficulty 5 and $14.27, and "tirzepatide online" at $15.78 on Found's domain, are queries where the searcher wants a supplier rather than a number. Those SERPs return commercial results because the intent is commercial, and almost nobody holds them.\n\nThe second is that a pricing page can be built to survive the feature. Comparison depth, eligibility, what the number includes and what changes it are all things a snippet cannot resolve, and they convert far better than the raw figure.\n\nThe third is the estate itself. 21,613 keywords built for behavioural weight loss is a large authority base sitting next to a category that now pays $10 a click, which is exactly the position our weight loss playbook describes: the authority base is built, the revenue layer is not.

When I am asked if I know of anyone in the SEO space, without hesitation I point them to DTC SEO. They truly understand the power of authority content, onsite metrics, and strategic backlinking and has the network to put it into play.

A ranking is not the same as traffic

Tell us where you are and we will map the query shapes that still send clicks in your category.

Where this leads

Noom: what founders ask us

Why does Noom rank first and get no traffic?

Their number one positions sit on pricing queries, where the answer is a figure. Google resolves the query in the SERP with features and the click never happens. Hers ranks seventh on the same "semaglutide cost" term and takes 1,967 visits.

How much organic traffic does Noom get?

241,613 monthly visits in the US from 21,613 ranking keywords, 10,832 in the top three, valued at $419,285 a month.

What is the most valuable term they are missing?

"cheapest tirzepatide online", 3,700 searches at difficulty 5 with a $14.27 CPC, where they sit at position 16. It is the highest CPC across this entire teardown series.

Is their content estate still useful?

Yes, as an authority base. 21,613 keywords built for behavioural weight loss is real topical depth sitting next to a category that now pays around $10 a click. The base is built and the revenue layer is not.

Where did these numbers come from?

A single Ahrefs Site Explorer export for noom.com including subdomains, United States, taken on 1 August 2026. Nothing is adjusted, rounded or estimated.
